Our Construction & Community Development Projects

Residential Construction Project

Woodmont Homes Development – These single-family homes are located in a unique oasis in Washington, DC. Woodmont is surrounded by parkland, and downtown is only minutes away. Woodmont features convenient Pennsylvania Ave access and an exclusive address. These homes came with luxurious amenities: 3 finished levels, 3 ½ baths; with open floor plans and designer finishes including hardwood floors, ceramic tile baths, and granite kitchens. We were able to complete 36 units, which cost approximately $15 million.

Chatham Village Apartments- Chatham Village is a 93 unite mixed-income apartment complex owned and operated by an IDS affiliate. The community features a rural setting and on-site recreational facilities. The unique single level design allows each unit to have an individual entrance and porch. The interior features vaulted ceilings and bay windows: fully equipped kitchens highlighted by a breakfast bar.

Commercial Construction Project

Old Congress Heights School Redevelopment – As a dilapidated and vagrant used school building, the Old Congress Heights school stood vacant for nearly thirty years. Using a combination of public and private financing, CHCTDC led the redevelopment of this 50k square foot historically educational building and also the construction of a new 20k square foot educational building which served as home to a public charter school, but presently house the University of the District of Columbia’s Community College of Workforce Development.
